Article Nine Poster
Article 9 is found in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It states "no one should be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention or exile." My poster dealt with the unfair detention of children by I.C.E. in the United States back in 2018.
I wanted to use materials that were commonly used by children, so I decided to use construction paper.
To show the 'pain' and 'distress' the children went through, I crumbled and tore some of the paper. When choosing the colors, I chose soft pastel colors that best represent children. But as I edited the image, I toned the colors down to emphasize the cold, sad situation the children are in.
